Ottawa’s Lisa Weagle earned a big payday to open her season at the Aug. 25-27 Everest Curling Challenge in Fredericton, N.B., scoring the sport’s richest prize at the winner-take-all $200,000 event where captains drafted a mixed-gender lineup of Canada’s top curlers.
