Ravens men’s soccer offence unstoppable in victory over Paladins

The Carleton University Ravens men’s soccer team absolutely dominated on the pitch Sunday afternoon, overwhelming the RMC Paladins 10-0.

Striker Caki Simrooglu (Ismir, Turkey) scored the first of six goals in the opening half. Midfielders Joey Kewin (London, Ont.) and Josh Dewar-Morris (Ottawa) both netted two before the 45 minute mark.

Simrooglu finished the game with two markers, while Kewin netted his first hat trick of the season.

Michael Calof (Ottawa), Andrew Latty (Ottawa) and Danny Gutierrez (Ottawa) collected the other goals.

Rookie keeper Mark Krocko (Ashton, Ont.) earned the victory and the clean sheet.

The Ravens are now 3-1 and will travel to Sudbury to take on the Laurentian University Voyageurs Sept. 17. Game time is 2:15 p.m.
