The latest edition of the Ottawa Sports Pages, published on June 2, 2021, is now available. It was focussed on celebrating some of the top athletes who are graduating from Ottawa area high schools this spring.
The 2020-21 Ottawa high school athletic season will be memorable for one reason – its absence. Blame the COVID-19 pandemic, which prevented student-athletes from gathering to practice, play, and develop.
Since mid-March 2020, student-athletes have been without the counterbalance to their daily academic work. But in many cases, they have kept training on their own, wherever and whenever possible, as they looked into their future.
From May 10-21, HIGH ACHIEVERS: Stay-At-Home Edition profiled 10 graduating senior student-athletes. We consider them some of Ottawa’s High School Best among the dozens of talented individuals moving ahead to study and play at university and college in 2021-22.
Here are those stories.
