On Feb. 25 at Sir Winston Churchill Public School, the Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club celebrated a successful first season of offering a free futsal program for young players from the nearby Parkwood Hills community alongside the Nepean, Rideau and Osgoode Community Resource Centre.

The wintertime program received funding from the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group Foundation, David Developments and Knoxdale-Merivale City Councillor Keith Egli.

The Ottawa Sportspage helped facilitate the partnership between NROCRC and the Hotspurs through its Connecting Athletes of All Means to Paths in Sport Project.
