Ottawa South United Force teams made their mark across many divisions at the ARS Laval Indoor National Tournament in mid-February.
The OSU 2006 Boys Force Academy owned the podium!
In the AA Division, the Force prevailed over many of Quebec’s top provincial-level clubs. They dominated their first two games by 6-0 marks against Sherbrooke and Ste-Foy, and then won each of their following matches by a goal over St-Laurent, Longueuil and Brossard to go undefeated.
OSU squads met in the final of the A Division as well. The Force Academy White A and B teams outscored their preliminary-round opponents by a combined score of 25-6 and then won their respective semi-finals over Rimouski and Cumberland to setup the all-Force final.
The players exuded confidence, skill and class throughout the weekend.
Displaying their terrific play and technical ability throughout the weekend, the OSU Force 2002 White Boys placed second in the U16 Regional A division at the Laval tourney, while the 2006 Girls Force White team also made the podium, recording some terrific wins in the group stage and semi-final.
OSU was well represented with OSU 2006 Girls Force Blue and 2007 Girls Force Black also participating – congratulations to all our teams!
OSU’s League One Squad Plays Queen’s University
We were excited to be invited to play Queen’s University in late February. Along with the game, our team was provided with an excellent tour of the athletic facilities and campus.
After playing The University of Toronto the previous weekend, a number of boys are now receiving strong interest from these schools – exciting news to come!

OSU launches new website in advance of 2018 season
OSU Soccer has launched a new website and is excited about what it will offer for our membership.
Over the past 6 months, OSU has set out to gain feedback from our families, volunteers, coaches and managers on what would make for a great club site.
Through our continuous evolvement as a club, we recognized the need to help families and the community better locate the information they need. We feel that through consultation and feedback, we have managed to best capture all the amazing elements which make OSU stand out.
“We are very pleased to be launching the new site, as part of our club’s strategy for improved digital communication in 2018. It is wonderful to see all of the content come together in a format which is comprehensive yet still remains user-friendly. Look out for ongoing refinement in the next few months, and lastly a big thanks to our staff and volunteers who made this new site happen,” noted Club President, Bill Michalopulos.
