Former Carleton Ravens Phil Scrubb, Thomas Scrubb, and Kaza Kajami-Keane are representing Canada in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers. Ravens head coach Dave Smart was also appointed as an assistant coach to Team Canada. Against the Bahamas at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Phil Scrubb led Canada in points, rebounds and assists in the game with a split of 17/7/6 in a 93-69 victory. Next they travelled to Santiago de los Caballeros to take on the Dominican Republic on their home soil where Phil Scrubb again led Canada across each of the major stat categories with 22/7/4 in an 88-76 loss.
