The Cyclery rider wins track World Cup bronze

The Cyclery rider Ariane Bonhomme helped a young Canadian entry win a World Cup bronze medal in the women’s team pursuit event on Feb. 20 in Colombia.

“It was a big day but very exciting,” the 21-year-old Ottawa Bicycle Club product from Gatineau said in a Cycling Canada media release. “We have never ridden together as a team – (fellow Cyclery athlete) Kinley (Gibson) and I have ridden on the NextGen team, but we’ve never trained with Steph (Roorda) and Laura (Brown), so the first two rides we started a bit fast and didn’t have so much left for the last kilometre, but we nailed it down in the final. It was perfect.”
