Olympian and local sport volunteer Sue Holloway, Ottawa 2021 Canada Games bid manager Lindsay Hugenholtz, New Edge Performance president John Haime, Ottawa Tourism CEO Michael Crockatt and Ottawa Champions partner David Gourlay were amongst the featured speakers as the local sports community gathered for the 3rd-annual Ottawa Sport Summit on Nov. 26 at Lansdowne Park’s Horticulture Building.

The theme of this year’s day-long summit was: “Engage. Inspire. Sustain. Creating Your Volunteer Movement.”

“It was inspiring to see so many different community sporting organizations represented,” the Ottawa Sport Council reports. “The presenters were thought-provoking and the discussions were engaging.”

The event raised over $3,500 for the Ottawa Sport Council Foundation.

The Sport Council will offer a grant-writing webinar later this year.
