Ottawa’s very own marathon runner, Sarah Thompson, has set a new personal and course record at the annual Ottawa Marathon held last weekend. Thompson crossed the finish line with an impressive time of 2 hours, 34 minutes, and 20 seconds, breaking the previous record by nearly two minutes.
The 29-year-old runner expressed her excitement and gratitude after the race. “It feels amazing to achieve this milestone, especially in my hometown. The support from the crowd was incredible, and it really pushed me to keep going,” Thompson said.
