McCann cracks World Cup finals top-10

Ottawa-based modern pentathlete Melanie McCann earned a career-best seventh place finish at the World Cup finals on May 26 in Chengdu, China.

The London Olympics-bound athlete recorded the most wins to place first of all athletes in fencing en route to a total score of 5,180 points – just 20 points short of the podium.
