OSU Force 98 Boys were crowned the 2012 Ontario Indoor Cup U14 Champions at the finals competition held Jan 28 & 29 at the Ontario Soccer Association headquarters in Vaughan, Ont.
The Force 98 went 3-0-0 in Group B play, producing scores against Whitby Iroquois, Richmond Hill Raiders, and Thunder Bay Chill of 3-0, 3-0 and 7-0 respectively. In the semi-final game, the team faced Mt. Hamilton and the Force won 5-2 and berth in the Cup finals.
The championship game was a rematch against Thunder Bay and the Force sealed the championship with a convincing 6-1 win. Congratulations boys!
OSU supports Canadian efforts in Afghanistan
In 2011, OSU organized the collection of uniforms and equipment which were provided to the Canadian Forces personnel serving in Afghanistan.
The picture above shows a child in Pashmull, Afghanistan receiving an OSU donated uniform from a member of our Canadian Forces.
OSU will be collecting again used uniforms and equipment at our walk-in registrations. If you have anything to donate please bring them with you at our registrations and we will put together more care packages to send overseas.
