The Ottawa Senators kicked off their Provincial Women’s Hockey League season on the right note this past weekend with a pair of wins and a tie on a road trip that took them to Brampton, Cambridge, and Waterloo.

The Senators allowed just one goal in the three contests, tying Brampton 1-1 on Friday night, shutout Cambridge 5-0 on Saturday, and knocked off Waterloo 2-0.

Each Senator goaltender, Cassie Charette and then Amanda Leveille, recorded the shutouts in net.

Katelyn Fournier led the way with two goals and an assist in the three matches, while Morgan McNeil and Jessica Harvey both had a goal and a pair of helpers. Also, scoring goals were Mackenzie Lalonde, Paige Belair, Cristin Shanahan, and Addi Halladay.

Ottawa and the Nepean Wildcats both hit the road for a trio of games before returning to the nation’s capital for their home openers on Oct. 22.
