Capital City FC reemphasized its status as a true contender for a Canadian Soccer League title last evening with a 6-0 thumping of visiting St. Catharines at Terry Fox Athletic Facility.
“Our defense was shut down. Our midfielders did a great job moving the ball forward and our forwards kept going to the goal,” Capital City head coach Shaun Harris said via the team’s website. “The players were terrific and deserve all the credit.”
Two newcomers each scored a pair of goals as Mahir Hadziresic and Nate Foster matched Sullivan Silva’s two markers to improve the club’s record to 14-4-6.
