It’s the kids’ camps that double as summer vacation for parents.
With 40+ years as a leading summer camps provider in Ottawa, TMSI Camps is maintaining its commitment to keeping campers active while taking a load off their parents’ backs.
As always, peanut-free lunches, and pre- and post-camp care are included with registration at all five TMSI camps across the Ottawa area.
“Parents are busy and we understand that,” notes Abby McCorriston, Executive Director of TMSI Camps. “We want to create a true ‘one-stop-shop’ summer camp experience where families know their children are active, cared for, safe and having an unforgettable summer.”

TMSI’s growing camp lineup includes the original Thunderbird Multi Sport Camp, Thunderbird Golf Academy, Amberwood Sports Camp, the Pro Stars Sports Camp (Superdome at Ben Franklin Park) and the eQuinelle Golf & Sports Camp, which is back for season two.
Each location offers its own unique mix of sports, recreation, leadership activities and outdoor fun designed to keep campers energized and excited all summer long.

More than 35 staff members, most of them teachers and childhood educators in training, will be dedicated to creating a safe, positive and energetic environment for every camper.

“I think families feel the energy and care our staff bring every day. Many of our counsellors grew up in our camps themselves, which creates a really special community atmosphere,” says McCorriston, herself a former TMSI camper and counsellor.
TMSI prides itself on offering a variety of experiences. Activities will include weekly theme days, water games, sports drills, team challenges, spirit days and a few surprises along the way! TMSI will also be introducing camper gifts to help make the experience even more memorable.
The camp aims to create a welcoming environment where campers can build confidence, make friends and create memories to last a lifetime. TMSI also pays particular attention to the role of physical activity in the mental well-being of children.

“Mental wellness and social connection are also extremely important to us,” highlights McCorriston, a graduate of Carleton University communications/sociology and University of Liverpool sports business management masters programs. “We believe recreation and sports play a major role in helping children grow emotionally, socially and physically.”
Many families say that what sets TMSI Camps apart is the variety. Campers stay active all day through sports, recreation, leadership activities, teamwork, swimming, golf, games, crafts, and more.
“We really focus on the full camper experience,” McCorriston underlines. “It’s not just childcare — it’s about creating a summer that kids genuinely look forward to every day.
“From our staff culture to included lunches and extended care to our theme days and activities, we try to make camp exciting, welcoming and stress-free for families.
“It makes it so much fun when everyone is feeling energetic and excited to be there. We can’t wait to welcome new and returning families into the TMSI Camps community this summer!”
Slots at the popular TMSI Camps tend to fill up well before the school year ends. Parents are encouraged to learn more and register soon before spaces are gone at TMSIcamps.com.
