The Maverick Outlaws 14-and-under girls posted the best local result as Ottawa welcomed the Eastern Canadian 14U Volleyball Championships from May 3-5 at Carleton University, reaching the tier 2 semi-final round. After repeat provincial titles the previous month, the Mavs 17U boys again matched their 2018 result at their May 9-11 Canadian Championships in Toronto, bowing out in the quarter-finals. The 16U boys’ division produced the greatest local volleyball feat from this year’s nationals. A pair of Mavs teams reached the tier 1 championship round, with the Bulls making it to the quarters and the Longhorns earning national silver.
