Great grappling

Ottawa welcomed the province’s youngest grapplers for the Ontario Youth Wrestling Festival on April 27 at Earl Armstrong Arena. A pair of older wrestlers from the host National Capital Wrestling Club earned places on Team Canada several weeks earlier thanks to their victories at the Under-17/U19 Canadian Championships in Fredericton. Matthew Vecchio (45 kg) and Ismail Ayyoub (80 kg) were selected to represent Canada at the Cadet Pan American Games in Mexico.
