YMCA-YWCA of the National Capital Region Team of the Month: Maverick Volleyball Club 16U Boys Longhorns

Team Members: Ahmed Abdelaziz, Sebastien Beauchesne, Francis Bessette, Kylar Code, William Des- champs, Dillan DiTomaso, Olivier Ducharme, Jacob Ferland, Tristan Godmaire, Maxime Gratton.

The 16U Maverick Longhorns won the division 1, tier 1 championship at the Ontario Volleyball Championships in April. Including provincials, the team won four of the five OVA age division events they competed in. As well, they posted a season record at their age group of 27-4. The team will be a Number 2 seed at the 2018 Volleyball Canada Nationals, which starts May 16.
