World silver for Team Canada women’s hockey goalie

Team Canada goaltender Geneviève Lacasse, who trains in Ottawa during her off-seasons, stopped 14 of 15 shots in her lone appearance at the IIHF Women’s Hockey World Championship on Apr. 1 in Plymouth, MI, coming on in relief during a 4-3 preliminary-round defeat to Finland.

Canada took the silver medal behind host USA, dropping the final 3-2 in overtime.
