Kristina Kiss made a name for herself during a distinguished soccer career with the Canadian women’s national team, and that name’s now got a permanent place on a sign in her hometown.
The Kristina Kiss Soccer Field and Park was officially opened on Aug. 31 at 100 Akerson Rd. near Eagleson Rd. and Cope Dr. in Kanata South.
The 32-year-old appeared 75 times for Team Canada in her playing career. She is now head coach for the West Ottawa Soccer Club.
